Samiam + I Hate Our Freedom + I'm with Cupid

Samiam waves the flag for a certain brand of mid-’90s post-hardcore, tender yet bracingly aggressive. Like that of contemporaries such as Jawbox, the output of this Tao Lin–approved Berkeley, CA, band still sounds surprisingly fresh. (Check out "Stepson" on YouTube for a taste.)
