The term prolific barely begins to describe the intensity with which Satoko Fujii has documented her career: Since 1996 this gifted Japanese pianist has issued something like 50 discs. Her Orchestra New York, one of her more venturesome and thrilling projects, is so stuffed with major local heavy-hitters that it would take most of this page to list them all.
