Sebadoh + Mazes

Sebadoh was perhaps the prototypical ’90s indie-rock band—can you imagine a contemporary young band writing a song called "Gimme Indie Rock"? Don't answer that, Yuck fans. Being the ultimate ’90s band now means staging the ultimate reunion tour every few years: Right now, the band is playing behind the Subpop reissues of midperiod albums Bakesale and Harmacy. Traffickers in pleasantries Mazes open. In indie rock, there seems to be a '90s revival on the way, and Risk/Reward, opening on Friday, hope to surf the wave that opening for some of indie's OGs will provide them. The warped rockers Dichroics make music in the style of, well, Sebadoh, but cut with the menace of bands like the Jesus Lizard. They open on Saturday.
