Shemekia Copeland and NRBQ

BAM R&B Festival at MetroTech. Belter Shemekia Copeland (daughter of famed guitarist Johnny Copeland) can sometimes be heard following arty tangents, or covering outside-the-box songsmiths like Joni Mitchell, but blues remain her love and birthright. She's sharing the stage this afternoon with the latest version of long-running roots-music institution NRBQ, still anchored by madcap piano man Terry Adams.
