Jay Hunter Morris is our arrogant titular hero in this origin tale that tells the story of Siegfried's early conquests, including that of his beloved Brünnhilde, sung here by Katarina Dalayman. Bryn Terfel continues his run as head god Wotan, disguised in this episode as the mysterious Wanderer. Fabio Luisi presides over the Met Orchestra.
