Time Out says

The popular New Sounds Live annual film series is back with a focus on avant-garde filmmaker Bill Morrison, whose silent movies are created in tandem with composers. Opening night (Tue 31) features The Miners’ Hymns created with fascinating Icelandic composer Jóhann Jóhannsson, which will be performed live by the always riveting Wordless Music Orchestra. On Wed 1, guitar guru Bill Frisell provides the soundtrack for The Great Flood, and jazz trumpeter Dave Douglas takes on Spark of Being on Feb 2. Closing night (Feb 3) features a live performance by the Oberlin Contemporary Music Ensemble of Michael Gordon's stunning score for Decasia.
