A nearly mythical synth-pop outfit that influenced pretty much every offbeat post-rock and electronic act you ever heard of—seriously, from Can through Suicide to Stereolab—Silver Apples plays a gig apiece in Brooklyn and Manhattan this week. You'll likely hear vocalist and oscillator player Simeon in solo mode, as drummer Danny Taylor passed away in ’05. Xeno and Oaklander, Man Forever and La Big Vic open on Oct 4, while CFCF and Win Win set the stage on Oct 5.
