Sinéad O'Connor

Returning to the Lincoln Center Festival in the wake of last year's triumphant Curtis Mayfield tribute, Sinéad O'Connor digs deep for a performance of her favorite soul-gospel songs, including standards by Sam Cooke, Sister Rosetta Tharpe and the Staple Singers. Helping O'Connor make her joyful noise are pianist-arranger Bob Telson, the Soul Stirrers, the Blind Boys of Alabama and the Inspirational Voices of the Abyssinian Baptist Church.
