Solange + Petite Noir + Cable + My Midnight Heart

Northside Festival. Known for years as Beyoncé’s little sister, Solange finally emerged as a serious musical contender with the release of 2012’s True. Helped by writer-producer Dev Hynes, she created an understated sonic palette that’s part ’70s lounge funk, part ’80s R&B. Needless to say, it goes down great when she performs live—having seen her wow crowds at SXSW this year, we’re psyched to find out how songs from forthcoming album Sole Responsibility come off at this outdoor bonanza.
