The blogs have been buzzing lately with the news that guitarist-frontman Max Cavalera plans to team with his drummin' bro, Igor—his former partner in the legendary Brazilian extreme-metal act Sepultura—in a White Stripes–style duo project produced by Mr. LCD Soundsystem, James Murphy. For now, though, Max has a new Soulfly album to promote: the raw and hard-grooving Savages. Helping to set the stage for this Times Square gig is Havok, a Denver act that plies rollicking classicist thrash.
