Time Out says

Armchair historian Richard Strauss wrote music for Molière's play Le bourgeois gentilhomme some 250 years too late. The Now Orchestra performs that score against the theater scene depicted in Watteau's 1720 painting The French Comedians as a part of the Met's ongoing Sight And Sound Series.
