In the ’80s, the proudly Christian act Stryper seemed like an unappealing alternative to its sleaze-steeped Sunset Strip counterparts. The group might be having the last laugh, though: Reviews were deservedly strong for its 2013 LP, No More Hell to Pay. Regardless of your faith (or lack thereof), if flashy, anthemic, 1988-style hard rock is your thing, you'll want to be front and center for this.
