Susie Ibarra Residency

Susie Ibarra's illustrious percussion career has led her from team-ups with avant-jazz VIPs such as David S. Ware and Derek Bailey to Electric Kulintang, an electroacoustic duo with husband Roberto Rodriguez inspired by Filipino gong music. At this residency, Ibarra draws on that full spectrum: May 20 and 21, respectively, she duets with saxophonist Matana Roberts and electronics expert Ikue Mori.
