BAM R&B Festival at MetroTech. Let's make this clear: Virginia soul veteran Swamp Dogg has been rockin' that whole "Dogg" thing since the '70s (i.e., long before Uncle Snoop); indeed, the cover of his first album under that moniker features Swamp riding a giant white rat and has been rightly voted one of the worst sleeves of all time. He'll be demonstrating his fine pipes this afternoon (and at Southpaw tomorrow night), backed by Brooklyn soul revivalists the Revelations.
