Sxip Shirey

Composer Sxip—say "Skip"—Shirey creates anachronistic sound collages in which he jumbles together klezmer, old-timey blues and musique concrète to create a surreal mélange. Tonight he celebrates his latest effort, the irreverent NYC ode Sonic New York, with various special guests, including the Carolina Chocolate Drops' Rhiannon Giddens.
