Husky-voiced R&B chanteuse Syleena Johnson has a cool background (dad Syl Johnson scored hits in the ’60s; mom Brenda Thompson was America's first black female police commissioner) and a string of R. Kelly–produced hits. So far her biggest claim to fame is her masterful chorus on Kanye West's "All Falls Down" (rumor has it she got the gig when Lauryn Hill refused to sing it for Mr. West).
