If you, like many New Yorkers, have never bothered to visit Ellis Island, you're missing out on one of the most inspiring historical sites this city (and nation, for that matter) have to offer. Here's a good excuse to make an afternoon trek. The members of Sylvan Winds make the Registry Hall resonate with works by composers of Eastern European descent, including some who came to America for visits or to stay; Dvorak and Irving Berlin both have spots on the set list.
