Talibam!, the riotously entropic, ever-evolving experimental duo of synth player Matt Mottel and drummer Kevin Shea, turns its attention to "no-school" hip-hop on new LP Puff Up the Volume. Helping to set the stage for tonight's LPR gig are guitarist Steve Gunn and drummer John Truscinski's pleasingly droney psych-blues duo, and the teeth-baring improv trio of drummer Weasel Walter, guitarist Elliott Sharp and bassist Tim Dahl.
