Time Out says

Though less known than Lee Konitz or Warne Marsh, tenorist Ted Brown was among the players who took jazz in brave new directions at the side of piano iconoclast Lennie Tristano. Tonight Brown heads up a sextet featuring young stars such as cornetist Kirk Knuffke and pianist Dan Tepfer. His billmate is octogenarian pianist Freddie Redd, who recorded several early-’60s hardbop classics for Blue Note.
