Teenbeat Anniversary. Mark Robinson formed Teenbeat Records as a Virginia high-school student to release records by his band, Unrest. The D.C. label went on to flourish as a kind of indie-pop Dischord and, shockingly, is still operating. This week, a cluster of its bands—including the mighty Unrest itself—gather for something of a reunion tour, playing the kind of short, peppy indie rock that made a lot of younger bands a lot wealthier than these ones.
