The 41st Annual African American Day Parade

Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Blvd (Seventh Ave) from 111th to 142nd Sts. Subway: 2, 3 to 110th St–Central Park; 3 to 145th St. Now in its 41st year, the largest black parade in the country returns to Harlem. Though Denzel Washington isn’t one of the grand marshals this time (sorry, film nerds!), there’ll still be an impressive lineup at the helm, such as Governor David Paterson, the Rev. Al Sharpton and NYC’s first black mayor, David Dinkins.
