The Airborne Toxic Event

Named after a section in a Don DeLillo book, L.A.'s Airborne Toxic Event plays moody, crunchy rock, frequently delving even deeper into the emotional register by buttressing its sound with strings. In celebration of its sophomore album, All at Once, the band is playing the "Origins Tour"—wherein it starts with the smallest venues in a city, then branches out to larger spaces. Neat.
