From its early years as a home for Van Morrison, Neil Young, Miles Davis and the fledgling Bruce Springsteen to its heyday as a pillar of the NYC singer-songwriter community, Allan Pepper and Stanley Shadowsky's Greenwich Village nightclub, the Bottom Line, represented a triumph of musical integrity over commercial sway.
