The Bunker: Berghain/Panorama Bar Residency Night

DJ Spinoza is back with his monthly electronic-house–and-techno throwdown; tonight's edition hosts a pair of residents from the two Berlin clubs (both housed under the same roof) that many consider to be the best in the world. Berghain's Marcel Dettmann (spinning in the back room with Spinoza) is something of a techno purist who nonetheless selects from the full range of sounds that the genre has to offer; his Berghain 02 mix-CD was deservedly named 2008’s Compilation of the Year by Resident Advisor, and the recent Dettmann LP is one of the more interesting techno releases of the year thus far. Panorama Bar's Steffi (playing the front room with Eric Cloutier) tends to favor a chugging, deep-housey sound, though don't be surprised by a few left turns here and there.
