The Head and the Heart

Three big shows from softly rootsy Sub Pop crew Head and the Heart, a word-of-mouth success story from Seattle whose self-titled debut album sold 10,000 copies before it even had a label behind it. If you dig Mumford and Sons and the Avett Brothers, you're in for a treat. The band has attracted some impressive show openers in New York too: Thao with the Get Down Stay Down support on Mon 26 and Tue 27, and Wed 28 features Cory Chisel and the Wandering Sons and These United States.
