The Kills, formed around American singer Alison Mosshart and British guitarist Jamie Hince (aka Mr. Kate Moss), are critical darlings, but haven't quite lived up to the profile of artists like Mosshart's Dead Weather bandmate Jack White. The band's sound favorably compares to standout artists of yore, like Royal Trux; tonight the group brings songs from new album Satellite to NYC. We're mildly surprised at the inclusion of peppy Brooklyn jangle-popsters the Pains of Being Pure at Heart on this bill, but show opener A Place to Bury Strangers fits the Kills' aesthetic to a tee, with its aggro electrogoth rock.
