The King Khan & BBQ Show

The devoutly primitive King Khan & BBQ Show pairs guitarist-singer King Khan with Mark "BBQ" Sultan, who sings and plays drums and guitar all at once. The band is wild—whiteface costumes, onstage blow jobs, the works—but its songs are melodically rich and redolent of ’50s sock hops. Khan and Sultan parted ways in 2010 but reunited a year later; this week they hit Knitting Factory for two gigs.
