Olu Dara’s a cornetist by trade, a bluesman by default and a griot because storytelling is his calling. (He’s also the dad to a rapper named Nas.) The singer-bandleader’s engaging shows make Harlem and Burkina Faso seem like rest stops along the Mississippi.
