Blue Note Jazz Festival. The members of long-running vocal troupe Manhattan Transfer may be guilty of histrionics, but at least they have a great excuse: As jazz singers coming of age in the rock era, that was the only way to get noticed and stay noticed. Forty years in, they're still crooning and scatting with gusto.
