The Mirror Visions Ensemble

In their concert Aphrodite & Athena, soprano Vira Slywotzky, tenor Scott Murphree and baritone Jesse Blumberg sing their way through a portrait of early-20th-century cultural philanthropist Isabella Stewart Gardner. New works by Christopher Berg and Scott Wheeler are paired with songs by Duparc, Nin, Monteverdi, Rangström, Debussy, Brahms, Sibelius and others to capture the complex woman's many-faceted persona.
