The Red Scare

This three-concert series from Opera Moderne and NYU's Deutsches Haus explores the struggles of Jews and Jewish communists in the first half of the 20th century. This second program features pieces by Webern, Ullman and Schoenberg, all of whom, according to the Nazis at least, composed "degenerate" music.
