The Tale of the Silly Baby Mouse

On Site Opera, a new company devoted to taking operatic works out of theaters and into offbeat spaces, presents a seldom-encountered bit of whimsy by Shostakovich: a 15-minute mini-opera about a young mouse who won't go to sleep. It was originally created for an animated cartoon, and is staged here with puppets designed by the Puppet Kitchen. Performances take place on the zoo's Asia Plaza Stage.
