The Vaselines + Amanda X

The past few years have seen some rather unlikely reunions, but the reanimation of the long-defunct Scottish indie-pop outfit the Vaselines has to be among the most surprising. As the Vaselines, Eugene Kelly and Frances McKee released a near-perfect EP and LP (with some songs later made famous by Nirvana covers). Reunited since ’06, the pair turns up here in support of V for Vaselines, a 2014 set of sing-songy, Ramones-inspired punk-meets-pop.
