This concert, organized in conjunction with the Guggenheim's major retrospective of sculptor John Chamberlain, gives insight into the music and art that influenced the Black Mountain College regular's own work. The evening features a solo set by jazz pianist Bill Charlap; a discussion with Guggenheim curator Susan Davidson and author Vincent Katz; Morton Feldman's For Franz Kline;and two newly commissioned works by Drew Baker and Jason Eckardt, each inspired by the poetry of Robert Creeley and Charles Olson, two of Chamberlain’s contemporaries.
