Theoretical Music

Issue hosts a survey of the fertile downtown music scene of late-’70s/early-’80s NYC, with a focus on the increasingly revered subgenre of No Wave. Tonight's event includes two panels featuring Sonic Youth members and other art-scene mainstays, while tomorrow's program features a rare performance by avant-punks-of-yore Ut, opened by avant-punks-of-today Talk Normal.
