Thurd Thursday: The Passing of the Presidential Sash

Brooklyn firefighter Dave Herman is stepping down from his post as president of the City Reliquary, after eight years of overseeing its collection of NYC artifacts and planning exhibitions (he's even auctioned himself off to raise funds for the institution). Send him off in style at tonight’s gathering; there’ll be performances by the folksy rock band Frankenpine and lots of free Brooklyn Brewery beer.
