The inventive violinist switches off the video and electronics of his intriguing multimedia concert Portals, which took place at Symphony Space earlier this fall, for an unplugged recital with pianist Cory Smith. Fortunately, his impeccable technique and expressive depth should hold our attention just fine on music by Dvorak, Bach, Kernis, Bolcom and Sarasate.
