Tim Fite + The Wailing Wall

Brooklyn rapper and singer Tim Fite reminds us a bit of early Beck the way he recycles junk-bin samples into clever songs. His music provides both marvelously weird stylistic clashes and funny send-ups of commercial rap, including the great new album Under the Table Tennis. Opening is the Wailing Wall, starring multi-instrumentalist Jesse Rifkin; the group's new album, The Low Hanging Fruit (JDub) is open-eared, with sounds plucked from every patch of earth.
