The (very) young guys in Tokyo Police Club—which hails from exotic Canada, not Japan—play peppy little songs with a punk undertone, most recently on the album Champ. The electropop trio Two Door Cinema Club, from Northern Ireland, released its debut album, Tourist History, last year, and has been a big hit in Europe. Will they conquer the States? Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin is infinitely less weird than its name may suggest. The Missouri band evokes a scrappier version of the Shins, with intimate guitar-pop songs full of tight structural curves.
