Tomas Fujiwara's Triple Double

Highly refined and sensitive drummer Fujiwara leads a sextet that pirouettes haphazardly through a flurry of melodic abstractions on the group's recent self-titled LP. It's a perplexing, oppositional listen at times, but occasional moments of harmony and direction keep a listener gripped. Make sure to look out too for the expert guitar playing of guitar luminary Mary Halvorson on stage.
