Thoughts of the late drummer Tony Williams's seminal early fusion group, Lifetime, tend to focus on its crucial debut LP, Emergency! But the band went through several fertile phases, including a 1975 iteration with Cream bassist Jack Bruce on bass and vocals. That band's rarely encountered repertoire, and more besides, is unearthed this weekend by Bruce, Living Colour shredder Vernon Reid, keyboardist John Medeski and drummer Cindy Blackman.
