Toubab Krewe

The oddly named Toubab Krewe—toubab means "white people" in West Africa—traffics in a griot-ified version of what might otherwise be generic, post–Grateful Dead surf-funk. Sierra Leone–hatched dance-rappers Bajah and the Dry Eye Crew and the Voodoo Fix open on Friday, while dub-ruckus masters Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad and proggy jam band Tauk get things going Saturday.
