Carnegie Hall and the Young People's Chorus of New York host this three-day workshop for young choral conductors, giving them an opportunity to work closely with composers of new works for young voices. Each day culminates in an evening concert featuring the chorus and the adventurous JACK Quartet. Composers on board for the first evening include Michael Gordon, Derek Bermel and Paquito D'Rivera. Joan Tower, Bright Sheng and David Del Tredici are the guests of honor on Fri 17, and the series wraps up on Sat 18 with some of the works performed on the first two concerts, plus music by John Corigliano and Douglas J. Cuomo. WNYC's John Schaefer is your host for the evening.
