Tribute to Sam Jones

Smoke makes a speciality of tributes and homages, but here's something you don't see every day: Alto saxophonist Vincent Herring, a go-to hornman for Cannonball Adderley celebrations, fronts a strong quartet in a salute to the late, great Sam Jones, a longtime Adderley bassist who also penned durable charts and waxed valuable sides with Oscar Peterson and Bobby Timmons.
