As part of its Next Wave Festival, BAM offers a two-evening focus on fado, the smoldering bluesy ballad style of Portugal. The first program, on Fri 2, brings together two of Lisbon's most respected acts, Lisboa Soul and Camané; on Sat 3, catch a glimpse of where fado is heading in an evening with Deolinda's pop stylings and Amália Hoje's sleek electronica.
