Two Legends: Charlie Haden and Paul Bley

This is one over-the-top billing epithet that's entirely warranted. Bassist Charlie Haden and pianist Paul Bley first crossed paths in California during the late ’50s, when both players found themselves in the orbit of a young maverick altoist from Texas named Ornette Coleman. They've worked together memorably on many occasions since; this weekend finds them playing as a duo.
