?uestlove Presents Mo’ Meta Blues

These three shows may fall under the aegis of the Blue Note Jazz Festival, but you know Roots drummer and inveterate crate digger ?uestlove's got his own spin on the occasion. On Mon 20 and Tue 21, he powers a fierce groove combo with soul-organ titan Booker T. Jones, saxophonist Gary Bartz, guitarist Eric Krasno and bassist Christian McBride. The Roots pack the house on Wed 22 for an encounter with rap icon Rakim, revisiting the hip-hop classic Paid in Full. (Tables are sold out on Wednesday, but you might still squeeze in at the bar.)
