Valerie Simpson

The hit-making duo Ashford and Simpson will forever stand as one of R&B's most celebrated singer-songwriter teams: “Ain't Nothing Like the Real Thing," "Ain’t No Mountain High Enough" and “I’m Every Woman” number among the duo's indelible standards. Ashford died in 2011, but Simpson will carry the torch tonight, performing all the classics at this B.B.'s show.
