Lincoln Center Out of Doors. The hitmaking duo Ashford & Simpson, which actually made its live debut at a 1972 Lincoln Center festival, will forever stand as one of R&B's most celebrated singer-songwriter teams: “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” “Reach Out and Touch (Somebody’s Hand)” and “I’m Every Woman” number among the duo's indelible standard. Ashford passed away a year ago, but Simpson and her starry friends will prove that the pair's legacy remains “Solid (as a Rock).”
