Vaura features members of two of NYC's most challenging bands (Kevin Hufnagel of Dysrhythmia and Toby Driver of Kayo Dot), but this project takes a more straightforward route, offering potently melancholic gloom-rock with wiry prog-metal undergirdings. Also on the bill is formidable noise maven Mario Diaz de Léon.
